We are Russ and Rachel Barker, founders of Praxis Partnership, and together we bring over 40 years of combined experience serving nonprofits and churches in a variety of leadership roles. Russ specializes in executive nonprofit leadership and operations, with a focus on multi-site organizations, staff management and development, organizational safety, and compliance. Rachel brings experience in volunteer recruitment and engagement, public and community relations, and donor development, and also serves as a pastor, speaker, and published author. Married for 17 years, we live in Cleveland, Tennessee with our children and are passionate about helping organizations build strong systems that support sustainable, mission-driven impact.

RUSS BARKER
Co-Founder
Russ Barker is a nonprofit leader with broad experience serving organizations in multiple leadership and operational roles, including executive-level positions. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and his background includes nonprofit operations with a focus on multi-site organizations, staff management and development, organizational safety, and compliance. Russ is known for his ability to bring clarity and structure to complex environments, helping organizations strengthen accountability and operational effectiveness.
RACHEL BARKER
Co- Founder
Rachel Barker is a nonprofit leader, pastor, speaker, and published author with extensive experience in volunteer recruitment and engagement, public and community relations, and donor development. She holds a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Capella University, which informs her practical, systems-based approach to organizational development. In addition to her consulting work, Rachel brings a pastoral lens to leadership shaped by years of ministry and nonprofit service.
